About Me

Hi, my name is Allyson, and I am currently studying at the University of Central Florida. I will be graduating in Fall 2025. I was born in Miami and moved to Orlando to explore new opportunities. From a young age, I have always been curious about the world of journalism. How stories are told, how news is gathered, and the impact it has on the community. This curiosity led me to pursue a career in journalism, where I strive to inform, engage, and give a voice to those who need it most.

I have interned with Central Florida Public Media, gaining experience in scriptwriting, researching stories, and interviewing sources. I also intern with UCF Athletics in production alongside ESPN Plus, where I operate replay systems, assist with camera operations, and create highlight packages. Additionally, I worked with WUCF’s NewsNight, contributing to production and editing for Florida Road Trip, a program exploring different cities and towns across the state.

In my free time, I love watching Formula 1 every weekend. One day, I hope to combine my passion for journalism and motorsports to become a Formula 1 reporter, bringing fans closer to the action and uncovering the stories behind the sport.
